두 신문사의 동일내용 기사를 보도록 하겠습니다.
같은 내용을 쓰면서 사용한 단어와 문장나열 형태가 다소 차이가 있음을 보게됩니다.
예를들어,
- 폐지하다라는 의미를 NYtimes에서는 drop, rescind라는 단어를 사용하였고;
CNN에서는 scrap이란 말로 표현을 했네요..
- NYtimes는 대통령 쉬락과 수상 빌뱅의 정치적 타격을 서두로;
CNN은 이 데모상황이 미칠 앞으로의 국가적 영향등을 서두로 글을 시작하고 있습니다.
- NYtimes는 이 법안을 labor law로; CNN에서는 job contract & jobs law 라고 표현
- Jean-Claude Mailly 란 사람에 대한 설명도 NYtimes에서는 the leftist union Force
Ouvriere라고 나열식으로 정치적 기반 및 프랑스말까지 넣어가면 설명을 했고;
반면 CNN는 심플하게 the Workers Force union라고 했네요.
- 노동조합을 NYtimes는 unions라고; CNN는 trade unions로 표현...
동일내용의 상이신문사의 내용을 비교하는 것도 이런 재미가 있었네요...ㅎㅎㅎ
이법의 핵심은 26세 이하의 근로자는 직업을 가지기 시작한 2년내에서는 타당한 사유없이도 해고가 가능하게 하여 노동시장의 유연성을 찾겠다는 것이며 프랑스에서는 CPE라고함.
처음 이법안이 물위로 올랐을 때는 학생부터 즉, 지금 사회로 출발할 대학생집단의 데모가 시작되었으나, 사회저변화 되면 노동조합 및 타계층의 국민까지 동일한 인식속에 반대 데모가 전개된 것입니다.
제가 이사건을 주시하였든 이유는 글로벌 시대이고 또한 모든 세계사의 정치는 서로 시간차는 있으나 영향을 받는 것이며 또한 선진국가의 변화는 그 시간폭을 줄여가며 우리의 일상에 파고든다는 생각때문이었습니다. 따라서 이법안이 국민들의 여론으로 뒤집어지길 기도했습니다. 이 법안이 무리없이 통과되고 발생하는 부작용이 있으나 어느정도 정착이 되어져 버리면 그 파급효과는 분명 우리나라 아닌 타국가에서도 현재 프랑스와 같은 진통 예상하에 진행하려는 정부의 의지가 발생할 여지가 상당하기 때문입니다..말이 많네요 제가..여기까지^^&

PARIS, April 10 – President Jacques Chirac crumbled under pressure from students,
unions, business executives, and even some of his own party leaders today,
announcing that he would rescind a disputed youth labor law intended to make hiring
more flexible.
The retreat was a humiliating political defeat for both Mr. Chirac and his political
protégé, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, underscoring the paralysis of their
center-right government 13 months before presidential elections.
“Dead and buried,” is how Jean-Claude Mailly, leader of the leftist union Force
Ouvriere, described the fate of the labor law “The goal has been achieved.”

PARIS, France (CNN) – The French government has scrapped a controversial youth
job law, bowing to weeks of million-strong protests with a change of heart likely to
further undermine the image of the country’s embattled Prime Minister Dominique de
Villepin.
Students and trades unions claimed victory after President Jacques Chirac announced
the decision on Monday.
De Villepin made an address on national television to express regret over the failure of
the law that would have made it easier to hire and fire workers under the age of 26.
The job contract is “dead and buried,” said Jean-Claude Mailly of the Workers Force
union, according to the Associated Press.
